I totally agree!!!! Now normally I like Kate, but I was like for heaven's sake let them have the darn cupcakes. Why would you do that activity if you weren't going to let them eat them?????
She was such a prude!! I cannot believe that even on a kids birthday you would not let them be messy or make a mess or something - for pete's sake!!!
I normally like her and her oddness, but last night she just really kinda ticked me off!
I agree with Aubrey, don't plan a cupcake decorating party for their birthday and expect them to stay spotless! I felt like they weren't even allowed to get the aprons dirty.
I also normally like her, but she is taking the "No messes" too far, good thing she has alot of girls. Come on Kate, Lighten up.
I missed it...I'll have to see if I can catch a rerun.
She has a massive case of OCD. When they make a rule you dont break it even if it is a special day. No fun at all. Maybe they should lighten up a bit.
I love this show (thanks hfarley)! I agree that she took it too far last night. I do sometimes wonder now that her OCD is out in the open if the camera people focus on those instances and make her look bad. My favorite part of the episode was when the helper lady at the cupcake place was putting frosting on Aiden's cupcake and he said "Oh my!" I thought it was the cutest thing ever.
OK...I have debated whether to "comment" on this post or not. Because Y'ALL ARE GONNA THINK I AM CRAZY, just like her...but I can't help it.
I did not see this episode yet, so I can't say for sure I would respond the exact same way as Kate. But by the descriptions y'all have left, I honestly can say I would probably pretty much do the same. It really is an illness people! I really don't like my kids messy...even if it IS their birthday. Now, what I WOULD HAVE DONE...is strip them down to their little undies and let them have at it. From there, we'd head straight to the bath.
So now you know THE TRUTH! I hope we can ALL still be friends?!?!?!
