Texas has a Whorehouse in it!!!

One of the all time great movies. THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Dolly singing "I Will Always Love You" and one of my favorite

I have a dream

I have always wanted to be a judge of the Jasper County Fair Queen pageant. I have other dreams and goals but this, this is my Everest. Many of you may be thinking "whoa, wait a minute, hold on there sister" . And you know what maybe you are right, but I am not going to give up on this dream. A little man named Columbus took a chance and if he didn't, we wouldn't be here (unless you are reading this from a foreign land-then it would not apply to you-God Bless the USA).

In Paris news....

Your daughter just gets released from jail.
You are so happy to see her, she is running to you. Yet Paris's Mother could not even get out of the car to greet her daughter, she hugs her through the open car window. Am I the only one who thought that was odd? I asked some friends. One of them suggested that maybe Kathy Hilton was not wearing any pants. I am pretty sure that had to be it.
Do you think John was ordered to wear this piece by the higher ups in his Scientology cult?

Tiger Woods and his spawn

Tiger Woods and his wife are the parents of a new baby girl. Her name is Sam. I kind of wish he would have kept up the animal name thing. Wouldn't it be cool if they would have name her Ring Tailed Lemur? Sure, she would struggle in school, kids would make fun, but in the end it would only make her stronger
I choose this picture because:
1. It kind of looks like the dog is wearing socks
2. Tiger and his trophy wife are staring at the dog, not the baby. Those crazy golfers sure do love dogs.

FREE at Last!!

Paris was finally released from jail last night. She was not sporting cornrows as I had predicted, but I am going to take partial credit for the braid.

Free at last!!

You gotta admit, she looks pretty good.

Newton Eagle Football Fish Fry

SHOUT OUT to Jason Fulton, Todd Short, and Jackie Schackmann for making last nights now annual Newton Eagle Football Fish Fry a HUGE success!! A lot of fish was eaten, t-shirts sold, and I think the community once again has caught football fever. Steve Bickers won the football autographed by the 2007 Newton Eagle's Football Team and staff. He sure is one lucky guy, the autographed football and all of those bowling rings!

The Countdown has begun!

Three months from today Jack and I will be boarding a plane in Indianapolis, IN with Michelle and Gabe Fulton to head to Disney World!!

The countdown is on!!!!

JACK and the new haircut

Jack got a new haircut last Saturday. It is what one might call a "summer haircut". It makes him look so much older-I did not think he could look any cuter, but somehow he does.
The above picture was taken by Rebekah Gosnell. You can view it on her blog (SHOUT OUT). I am using it without her permission.

Designing Women. I love these ladies. This show never gets old.
Coming soon. Julia's "the night the lights went out in GEORGIA speech".

Random Thought

You know that song "Suddenly I See" by k.t. tunstall? Next time you see something sad on TV put it on mute and play that song in your head. It makes everything seem like it is going to be ok.

A surprise 60th birthday party was held for my Uncle Bill Diel last Sunday night at Stone's Throw Golf Course. The highlight of the evening was the pinata provided by Pat and Patty Diel (a new Diel tradition).

Jack and Cooper had a really
good time with Uncle Pat!

Got plans this Friday night? The Newton Eagle Football team is hosting a fish fry at the Newton KC Hall from 4:30-7:30. Fish with all of the trimmings. Come out and meet the 2007 Newton Eagle Football Team. Football t-shirts will be on sale (I will be manning the t-shirt table with the lovely Holly Farley) for $10.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt and cannot make it to the fish fry e-mail me at and I will take your order.

Hope to see you Friday night and tell 'em Sarah Sez sent you!

The Diel Girls take a field trip

Last Friday was my birthday. Amanda Zumbahlen, Michelle Fulton, Jill Bierman, and myself spent the day in Terre Haute. We decided to visit American Freight furniture-who has not seen the commercials and wondered what it is all about? Supposedly it is located at the corner of Fruitridege and Wabash. After driving around for about 30 minutes we realized that could not be the case. Jill stopped at Java Haute (and talked to some real nice people) and got directions. Those were not correct either. Luckily Michelle watches enough TV that she had memorized the number from the commercial 238-0181 (I think). We called and Kyle, American Freight employee, was nice enough to give us directions that got us there. Kyle sure was glad to see us once we arrived and we were glad to see him. He did not have any snacks to offer Jill who was hungry by this point so, no one bought anything. I am not sure that I would recommend American Freight for your new furniture needs. If you do go, give the "cuddler" a try.

I guess the moral of this story is that the journey can be just as much fun as the destination.

SHOUT OUT to me!!! It's my birthday!!

Thursday, June 14, 2007

SHOUT OUT to Samantha Dart. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

Tomorrow is Bob Barkers last day on "The Price is Right". How many of us have not dreamed of getting the "come on down" and then hearing that you are going to get to play PLINKO!
I remember watching TPR one day in the summertime with my sisters (you could not swim in the pond until after lunch). Bob gave his famous sign-off at the end of the show "remember have your pets spayed or neutered". My little sister Rebekah immediately ran up the stairs and asked my Mom if she was spayed or neutered. Ah memories, good times, good times.
Bob, thanks for the memories.

SHOUT OUT to the Wednesday night club regulars. Todd Short, Jason Fulton, Jill Bierman, Michelle Fulton, Kelley Leffler and, little old me.

Only two more weeks until the BA will be back for business and we can eat pasta salad and drink iced tea served by the fabulous Linda Logan until we are ready to float away. I can't wait!!
Speaking of names, I read in the Newton Press that someone just had a baby boy and named him "Dyson". Do you think it was after Kate's new vacuum?

Did you know that Geraldo Rivera has a brother named Craig? That is why if I ever have another son I will name him Mario.

Jack asleep this morning.

Jack's got a silly hat.

Happy Birthday today to my Grandma Poppy (Geogia Knepper) and Jordan Zumbahlen. Happy Anniversary to my parents Ray and Debbie Diel.
If you are not checking out Amber Lindeman's website you are missing some of the most beautiful pictures ever taken. Amber is Newton's (and the tri-county area) premier photographer. Also, check out Amber's blog .

SHOUT OUT to Amber. My sister from another mister.
From the comment section. Posted by Michelle Fulton in regards to anonymous commenter's posting: A great man once said "You can't argue with a dumb ass".

Well, today has certainly been a very interesting day in the world of blogging. It saddens me that what I and others have found to be so enjoyable has taken a turn for the worse. Will my blog go on? I did think for a few minutes today that maybe I should shut it down but, I cannot let one person's uninformed words stop me. What would Rosa Parks do? I decided I am not going to give up my seat on this bus. I am enjoying the ride too much.

Due to the unfortunate and cowardly actions of one person , I have had to remove the anonymous option on the comment posting section of the blog.
To anonymous commenter:
You may have taken the tongue in cheek style of my blog to literally. This blog is meant to entertain and delight. I am many things and among the things that I am is an avid Newton Eagle Football fan. If you have a problem with that, I suggest that this is not the place for you to be. If you have a personal problem with me or the content of my blog I invite you to grow a pair and contact me personally. My e-mail address is .

I do appreciate any and all comments from my readers. Please before commenting, use the spell check tool that almost all computers provide. I cannot leave a poorly worded or misspelled comment posted on my Blog. It hurts my readers eyes.

Anderson oh Anderson. Do you think Gloria Vanderbilt being his Mother makes him hotter?

So, I went to the Relay-For-Life this weekend. My church had a team and I had done A LOT of work helping with fundraising. By the time Relay-For-Life got here I was SOOO over it. But, they did raise a lot of money for the American Cancer Society (which I think goes to buy t-shirts). Cancer is not the point of this rant-although I will say, and I think that most people will agree, Cancer is BAD. What is the point is what happened to me at the Relay-For-Life. The event was held at the high school on the track and the Football Field (sacred ground that deserves respect). I was setting in the stand watching some cancer related entertainment and I decided to go and set in my reserved seat. All of a sudden I felt it. I looked across the field and could see the boys in their uniforms huddling up getting ready to run onto the field. "On Wisconsin" was playing in my mind as I hummed along. I could almost taste the Rotary Club porkburgers and feel Bill Huth's hand on my shoulder. I am ready for it.
To sum it all up:
Newton Eagle Football=GOOD

This week has been Vacation Bible School at Central Christian Church. I was the craft teacher for 1st-4th grades with help from Kalyn Bergbower, Stephanie Frichtl, Lisa Turner, and Yvonne and Kendra Will . It was interesting to say the least! Actually overall it was a really good time and I hope the kids had as much fun as I did! We decoupaged tissue boxes and made snakes out of neckties. I really don't know what either craft had to do with church but nothing says I heart Jesus like a snake made out of an old tie!

Saying the pledges at the beginning of the night.

The snacks were super good. It was my favorite part of the night.

Enjoying their snacks.

Collin Harris

Lauren Frichtl with tissue box she made. It was the prettiest one by far!

Aaron Turner

Dawson and his snake.

Gabe with his crafts.

Payton and Keely before VBS on Wednesday night.

Prayers are answered!!

Paris Hilton was released from jail this morning for "medical reasons" after serving 3 days of her 45 day sentence. She will spend the rest of her sentence at her home with a monitoring bracelet.

What do you think the medical reason was? My guess, leprosy.
