The great debate
In my house we eat a lot of corn. Canned and frozen mainly (hopefully some fresh on the cob soon). When I make corn I add butter, salt, pepper, and sugar. Every time we have corn, Cliff points out how odd adding sugar to corn is and how he had never heard of that until he met me. Do you add sugar to your corn??

OH YEAH.. Gotta have sugar in the corn.
I add sugar to corn. My mom and dad do, my grandparents do.....
Rick thinks it's weird and is the first to add that maybe that's why the overweight cycle has yet to be broken.
I tell him, if he doesn't like it, don't eat it......He still eats my corn.

Never have we only have frozen from what we grow in the summer...it is usually so sweet it never needs any. Sounds good though!
Yes, always had sugar.
Makes it taste so much better.
I forgot to add that I think I got this from my Grandma Knepper.
Even the corn she puts up from the garden has sugar in it before it goes in the freezer.
Can't say that I've ever heard of this. Usually just good ole' butter, salt and pepper. I'll have to try this.
Yes, I add sugar to the corn. Bruce thinks it's weird and didn't even know I did it till about a year ago....aftr almost 10 years of marriage.
He says his momma doesn't make like that.
I tell him to go eat his corn at his momma's.
Tracie,
You should change the title of your blog to
GO EAT CORN AT YOUR MOMMA'S
for some reason I just think that is so catchy. I am going to try and find a way to work it into daily conversation.
I have never heard of that, but what do I know I'm from Omaha, NE! I will have to quiz Evan about this one.
My meme puts sugar in her corn.
I don't, but I bet Emily would like it. Actually, she doesn't need to like corn any more than she does already. Last time I made corn on the cob, she at the whole thing, EVEN THE COB. She had good poop the next day.
I don't, but I know of other people that do.
