What did you have for dinner last night?--the pregnant edition

What did you have for supper last night??

I ask this because:

1. I love hearing what other people had to eat the night before, it is another interesting glimpse into other people's lives.

B. I need to share that I found out that chili, even though I LOVE it, is not a great food for a pregnant person to eat. I paid dearly for eating that delicious bowl of chili that Jack and I prepared.

3. When Tracie and Amanda cook, it is always something pretty impressive!

Jennifer made cube steakes w/ mushroom gravy. Rice and Mixed veggies. It tasted great and the best part is the whole house smelled good.

I fixed something new.. and it turned out to be pretty tasty. Casseroles are so easy to make.. how can you screw them up? So, I'll share the recipe.

HAMBURGER POTATO CASSEROLE
1 LB Hamburger-fried/drained
3 cups diced potatoes- I boil them part way so that it doesn't have to bake as long.

Mix:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup milk
salt/pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Layer potatoes in a dish,then
pour soup mixture and then layer hamburger over top.
Cover;Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Uncover;Put cheese on top, and continue baking until cheese is melted.

MMM... GOOD!!

Since we just got home from Fort Worth LATE Sunday night, I spent the day in my PJ's unpacking and doing laundry.

I was kinda shocked when 5:00 came rolling around!

Needless to say, we did not have a spectacular meal....just some Crunchy Taco Hamburger Helper...and corn (from a can!)...oh and some buttered-pull-apart-rolls that I had Bruce pick up on his way home.

Nancy's casserole sounds like an old staple at my house growing up. Tater tot casserole. Replace the diced potatoes with tater tots. Yummo!

We had chicken helper-alfredo, hashbrowns, peas, baked beans and cornbread.
Family like it, and easy for me!!

Oh yes....I agree with Jace. My kids LOVE Tater-Tot-Casserole...and it is soooo easy. But I use Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup instead of Cream of Mushroom.

Jenna can make this one on her own if I have a late night!

Chris didn't get home until late so I didn't cook. Calvin had pb&j and applesauce. I had Lipton Chicken noodles and garlic bread.

I think we're having much of the same tonight.
