History is today
I wish I could write something prolific about today.
Barack Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States of America.
In a way like we have never seen before, a feeling that I have never felt.
A profound proudness to be an American. A hope for this nation so big that it almost hurts.
A realization that at the end of the day, he is just one man. Change can come, but it's going to take all of us to want to change, to believe that we can change, to believe in hope and to realize that we have to be part of the process and that it may hurt a little bit.
But today, I am just going to celebrate.
Celebrate and hope.
I hope you are watching.
Someday someone is going to ask you where you were when.

SO LONG
Fun Times at the Farley Euchre tournament
Saturday night it was brought.
The annual Farley Euchre Tourney. Good times were had by all. Lots of food, fun, and great friends. My partner, Jenny Fritchely, and I were eliminated in a nail biter in the first round of play. It is also important to note that Rick Lindemann and his partner were also eliminated in the first round. They were spanked by Jill Bierman and her partner Amber Lindemann.

BRING IT
And the Oscar goes to.......
I love awards!! I got this one from Miss Jennifer Hannaman (now Campbell) at her blog
The Campbell Family
In order to accept it I need to list 5 things I am addicted to. I assume that you are only supposed to list legal substances (she did not say that, but I am making it a rule, although if someone wants to admit they are addicted to the Crack Cocaine, more power to you).
Here goes~~~~

In order to accept it I need to list 5 things I am addicted to. I assume that you are only supposed to list legal substances (she did not say that, but I am making it a rule, although if someone wants to admit they are addicted to the Crack Cocaine, more power to you).
Here goes~~~~
- I am totally addicted to caffeine. I do love coffee, but I don't drink it. My kidneys don't have the room for it. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and iced tea. I drink about a pitcher of tea a day. I like to top the tea off with a few diet cokes. Yes, I know that they make a decaff version of both, but it just seems sacrilegious.
- Reality TV, mainly on BRAVO. Mainly The Real Housewives. I love all of those gals. It's hard for me to say which is my fav. Atlanta was the worst, but in a "so bad it is good" kind of way. I enjoyed it even more knowing that my love, Anderson "the Silver Fox" Cooper was also a fan.
- Celeb gossip. I feel like I know most celebs personally. And I admit that I pray for a group of them on a daily basis. I take partial credit for Britney's comeback and Obama's win---prayers are answered. I am still working on Patrick Swayze.
- El Rancherito. I need that food like I need iced tea. Having our own in Newton is great, but I still prefer to go to Olney. They know me there. They know to bring me a diet soda as soon as I arrive. They know Jack and know that I had another baby. God Bless those Mexicans and their delicious chips, salsa, and fajitas.
- Newton Eagle Football. As soon as the last game ends I begin to look forward to the next season. There is just something about a Friday night under the lights at Chivesky Field.
I now get the pleasure of passing this award on to fellow bloggers
.......and the Fab Blog award goes to............

What's your fav???
I've been told I watch to much TV. Guilty as charged. If watching to much TV is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
I find when there is nothing else fit to watch, you can always count on HGTV and the Food Network.
When we moved into our new house this Fall I heard HGTV mentioned twice on moving day. Once by my Dad and once by his brother, my Uncle Garry. I am pretty sure you can guess what's on the TV most of the time at their houses.

Also love Property Virgins.
I love that show. I want to plan a vaca around the places he goes.
I am starting to watch Iron Chef. I love the moment when the secret ingredient is revealed.
I am just waiting for the day it is Cream of Mushroom soup.

Did you watch???
The new season of American Idol started last night. I liked the new judge much more than I expected to. There sure are a lot of audition shows and then Hollywood week before we get to the good stuff.
Suck it Ann Coulter
Did anyone see this douchebag on THE VIEW this week? She SOO dissed Barbara and that is not ok. Barbara deserves respect.
Ann is not known for being nice. She's the same woman that called some women that had been made widows by 9*11 "gold diggers". Her latest targets? African-Americans that have been raised by single mothers who are white---Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, and President Obama to name a few. I am pretty sure Alicia Keys can handle it. We all know Obama could take her down, but Halle Berry seems like a delicate flower.
Douchebag is too nice of a word for this horse faced meanie, but the c to the t word probably should not be used on my blog.
Ann Coulter gives the Republican party a bad name. Not sure who is in charge over there, but maybe they should consider doing something about her.

The Snuggie is modeled
In case you have not heard (or read),
Rick purchased Snuggie blankets for Rebekah and Amber.
Everybody wants one.
Word on the street is all the cool kids will be wearing them in '09. I took these pics of Holly Farley modeling Amber's Snuggie Friday night.
My pics are in no way even close to the quality that Amber would post on her blog so, I had to share them here.

Easy Recipe
Here you go Jamee!
This is a SUPER easy recipe that I found on kraft.com
It's not the fanciest meal in the world, but it is simple (can you say boxed mac & cheese?), easy and good!
I love kraft's website. If you sign up you can create your own recipe box, so I have lots of recipes that I want to try stored. I really doubt I will need to use a cookbook again. This week I plan to try the Creamy Chicken Enchiladas from kraft.com that Mindy recommended. They sound super easy and look SO good!
1 pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix
3/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
1 cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

I shared a recipe. I may have more to share after I try some new ones this week. Please post a fav on your blog if you have one!
