What did you have for dinner last night?

What did you eat last night?

Who made it?

If you ate or ordered out, where did you go and what did you order?

Just for fun, leave a comment with last nights menu.

I'll go first.

Homemade chicken and dumplings in the Kinkade household along with canned peas (Jack calls them little balls).

I of course made it.

I started the chicken in the crock pot first thing yesterday morning and picked it off the bone when it was done-gross!

I lucked out. My Dad watched Jake yesterday because he was 'sick'. They ended up eating lunch at Moon Shine. (I'm a little jealous)

So when I went to pick him up Dad had make chicken breast and baked potatoes on the grill and corn on the cob. It was good. Even better because I did not have to cook it.

We had church last night...and those are our usual - "Whatever You Can Find, Eat It" nights. Sometimes we grab "Subway" on the way, but not last night!

Bruce and I had chicken-salad sandwiches.

Between the kids, they ate cereal and leftover Pastalaya (kinda like Jambalaya but with noodles).

Sarah, I might need to get your chicken and dumplings recipe. People don't make that down here and I tried once but it kinda turned out like white sausage gravy....with chicken instead of sausage. It was kinda gross!

shredded chicken in with chicken stock, bring to a boil and then add your dumplings on top (I just make them with Bisquick and use the recipe on the box)cook it for 10 minutes or so and it is ready

pretty easy, making the chicken was the only bad part

I had church too, so it was the quick and easy burrito casserole. I am going to try the chicken and dumplings, that sounds so good.I hope I can get past the whole chicken thing.:)

So Emily, what is the quick and easy burrito casserole?
2 of my favorite words, burriot and casserole so it has to be good!

Maybe we bloggers need to have a recipe exchange!!

The hubby cooked pork loin on the grill and I made green bean casserole - YUM!!

Oh, and you can't forget Grady - he "made" cookies, but mostly ate the dough.

We had red wine braised pork chops, sauted green beans and baked potatoes.

I would like to be included in the recipie exchange too.

Maybe we could all post our favorite dinner recipies on our blogs!

Sarah D said...

Amanda that's a great idea. We should all do that next week.

Perfect! This should be lots of fun! Then those who don't have blogs can just post thiers on our favorite meals!

Who is Amanda M and can I go over to your house!

Sarah D said...

BB-She is the former Amanda Massey, now Amanda Martin. She lives in Fairview Heights, so it would be a lot closer for you to go to dinner at her house than to come to Newton!

She has a super cute blog-check it out

Ok, I am sad I missed this. I want to eat at Amanda's house too!
Count me in on the exchange. Wed. night is church night for us too so we usually have leftovers or freezer food, aka whatever you can find night too. But I had some time so I made a classic, Cheesburger Hamburger helper! Recipe is on the back...I included green beans and crescent rolls(we love those things!)
