Wii got a Wii!

It arrived yesterday. Wii also got a Wii Fit.

Jack played Wii so long last night

that at one point he was laying on the floor bowling saying "I'm so sore",

he still would not quit!

It amazed me how quickly he picked it all up.

I finally got a chance to try it this morning.

Designing my Mii took a little time. I wanted her to look super cute.

Since I knew that I was going to be mainly (hopefully) using the Wii Fit I gave her cute little pigtails, I knew that she would want her hair to be out of the way while working out. I got on the Wii Fit to be weighed etc.. It's not fun when your TV (someone you considered to be a close friend) tells you you are fat. My cute little Mii is now a big fat Mii and she is looking for a more flattering hair do!

We can go to the breeder to get them. I will pick them out. I will hold them first.

Check out this story from the CBS morning news. The former Lori Stockwell of Wheeler, IL, now Lori Smith, is the mother of 4 kids ages 15 and under and live in Tennessee. Her kids are the singing group J4. J4 was just chosen to be part of a family singing competition on the CBS Morning Show!!

Lori spent lots of time during her teenage years at the Diel house. I was in grade school then and thought she was beautiful and just the coolest. She and my sister Michelle were very close and Michelle and my Mom were bridesmaids in Lori's wedding.

Lori writes and plays her own music. If you ever had the chance to hear her play and sing it is probably something you still remember.

The public will have a chance to vote for J4 after they perform on the Morning Show. I will try to keep you updated and let you know how you can vote.

Product review

I have been cursed with short eyelashes. Jack has beautiful thick long eyelashes. Harrison's are already longer than mine. They get it from their Dad.

I am always on the hunt for something that will make my lashes appear longer than they are.
---by the way, did you know you could get eyelash extensions?

This is my latest find.....
I like this stuff a lot. I think it makes my eyelashes a little longer, but the best part is the removal!!! It does not come off until you wash it off. When you do wash it off it really comes off in little tubes. It kind of looks like all of your eyelashes came out on a wash cloth. Creepy at first, but enjoyable once you get used to it.

No, not venereal disease!!! Get your mind out of the gutter. It's the day we celebrate LOVE. Not syphilis (although when are those that suffer with this horrible disease going to get their own day? I ask you where is the justice?).

Yesterday I was surprised with a knock on my front door.

It was some very nice delivery people from Mr. Bruce Balding's Newton Flower Shoppe.

Cliff sent me flowers!!! The balloon was for Jack.

They are beautiful.

Bruce did a great job and Cliff really surprised me.

Happy Valentines Day to all you lovers out there.

And to those of you who suffer from the clapp, syph, gonorhea, or some other disease that they have yet to name. Hang in there!!!!! Your day is coming.

Afternoon Delight

This afternoon I sat down to give my little Snack Pack a bottle. I grabbed the remote and proceeded to flip through the channels.

Did you watch last night? Where are the twins? Were they forgotten in the move because they are going through that awkward bad, big teeth phase?


Speaking of, I read the book. It is a VERY short and easy read. Not much new at all if you have been watching the show for any time. It was interesting to learn that Kate fought the state after they tried to take away the baby nurse that helped care for the babies for the first six months of their lives. Her reasoning: licensed daycare facilities would have to have more than one person to care for that many babies. She won and welfare continued to pay the nurse.

I really do enjoy watching Jon and Kate, Jack likes watching it with me. He calls it Johnny A+ A (not sure where that came from). That little Aaden is the sweetest thing in the world, he is so my favorite. I gotta wonder if the fame that this family has achieved is somehow making parenting multiples more glam than it probably really is. Do you think that maybe the mother of the octuplets thinks that she is going to get a reality show and all will be good? Of course if she does you know we will all watch.

Have you seen any of the interviews with the octuplet Mom on the Today show? That lady is just ALL kinds of crazy!!!

I LOVE JESUS BUT I DRINK A LITTLE

This was the day that I realized that I had two children. I suppose I thought I would be just fine trying to do 3 costume (outfit) changes by myself-we only ended up doing two. I had grand ideas of how these pics would go. Harrison needed to eat and poop during the photo session. Jack (in case you did not know) talks A LOT. He gets it honest I am sure, but he really likes to talk and sometimes he just needs to be quiet. Amber was a saint and helped me so much. I think she knew I was close to tears a couple of times. She reminded me that I always say that I just need one good one. I think I we got that.

Farewell and safe travels to the Lindemann Family. They leave tonight for their Disney vaca! I know Amber will do such a good job documenting their trip that it will be the next best thing to being there.

This is Jack on the sidewalk at our old house. He was 27 months old. I took this picture after we got home from his first developmental screening where my suspicions had been confirmed that yes, I was the parent of a genius (ok, I made that part up, they did tell me he was doing great). I remember everything he was wearing and where it all came from, I got so many cute pictures of him playing outside that day. Thanks Jodi for that trip down memory lane.

Warm house, empty pockets

Remember the great thermostat debate of '08? I suppose I should have taken everyones advice and insisted that we lower the temp in the house by more than the one degree that we did. It got colder and colder and after Baby Harry (I'm trying out Harry) arrived it just felt so snuggly in our nice warm house that I did not leave for days on end. We got the Ameren bill. Let's just say that it was more than $300. I should have gotten a snuggie.
