Sharing the Love-blogger style

I got this blogger award from my friend Jamee.
If you are not checking out my little Jamer's blog you really are missing something. Give it a look see for no other reason than the hilarious comments Chad "Chuck" Farley leaves.
Now the hard part.....passing it on.
I have decided to pass this award on to my friend Amber and her Lindemann Family blog. I love Amber. We have, in the past year or so, become the bestest of friends, but that is not why I am giving her this award.
It took a little time looking through the archives, but Amber gets this award from Sarah Sez for having Newton's very first blog (or at least the first one any of us read).
Thanks for being a trend setter Amber and thanks for the award Jamee!!

Looks like the rumors are true

For months and months rumors have swirled around Newton that an
El Rancherito would be coming into the old Pizza Hut building.
I bought into the hype and dared to dream that I would not have to drive the half an hour to the nearest El Rancho to get my needed weekly serving of chicken fajitas served with those fabulous chips and just right salsa on the side.
Finally after months with no results I had all but given up.
Today we got a sign. A sign that could only be sent from above (or Judy McClure).
Looks like we may actually be getting our Puerto Vallarta (sister restaurant to El Rancherito).
Dreams come true and prayers are answered.

Did you watch

Jon and Kate + 8
Last night?
It's their 4th birthday, let the boys have the freakin' cupcakes!

18 weeks

18 weeks down.
Almost to the half-way point! I think I am starting to feel the baby move. Most of its movements seem to be sharp pokes to my bladder. I think Jack has finally come to believe that there is a chance that the baby could actually be a girl. Before, he would not even entertain the thought and told us he would be very mad if it was a girl. We still (thanks to Jack) refer to the baby as CHUCK CHUCK. Don't worry, there is no chance we will be naming it Chuck Chuck.

Some short porn

Mini Me is in a sex tape!!
With a full size gal!
Way to go Mini Me!
Would you watch it?
I bet it is pretty short.
I would not be caught dead watching anything like that.
Who am I kidding, you know I want to see it.
Just to check out how the logistics of it all work is reason enough alone.
Perhaps Hank and Jamee Baltzell's new neighbor has a copy.

Nicole and Keith's day of the week

Nicole Kidman had her baby.
No word on if it came out botoxed to the gills like its mother.
Reports say that they named it (girl) Sunday Rose.
I would have went with Monday Dandelion, but that's just me.
She had it in Nashville. No France or Africa for her. Take that Brad and Angelina.
Nicole and Keith, two Australians that love the USA.

God Bless America, puke and all

It started Wednesday night. My friend Mollie was home from Chicago so myself, Karla Koebele, and Holly went to the Bowling Alley to visit with Mollie (and each other). Jack had went to spend the evening at my Mom and Dad's house. He left our house with a runny nose (Jack is very rarely sick-not even a runny nose) and by the time I got there he had a fever of 99.9. Jack was crying when I got to their house in a very dramatic fashion repeating over and over "I have a fever." We left to come home with him still crying. By the time we got to the end of their driveway he had started throwing up. I think all of the snot coupled with the intense crying caused the vomit. We headed back into their house where he took a bath and I cleaned up the puke.

Moral of that story--This is what a Mother gets for trying to leave her child for 2 hours to enjoy some adult time with her friends.

Jack was sick the rest of the week. We did not get to attend the Bierman's July 4th party which was sad.

Finally on Saturday morning he woke up feeling better. That night Cliff and Uncle Pat let off some fireworks at the Deer Cabin. As I may have mentioned before, Jack REALLY does not like loud noises. He has a pair of ear muffs that I have learned to bring to any event that may be to loud for his sensitive ears. He HATES fireworks, but Cliff wanted him to see them so, we sat in the car, Jack wore his earmuffs and we watched the spectacular show they put on. Jack was not bothered by them that much and perhaps next year he may actually be ready to watch some fireworks outside without the earmuffs!

Jasper Co. Fair-take two

Jack and I had so much fun at the Jasper County Fair on Monday night that Cliff and I took him back on Tuesday night for more good times. Cinda Short had given him an arm bracelet so he got to ride all the rides he wanted! Thanks Cinda!
Giving the ring toss a try
The Fair was pretty loud.
Jack wished he would have brought his ear muffs.

Daddy helps him out

The slide was Jack's favorite.
It was Cliff's least favorite because it had been set up
in a ditch and you landed in a mud hole.

We ran into our friend Ashley, Queen of the Fair!

Cliff shot some hoops
Yes, the guy operating the hoop shoot game only had one arm
No, I did not ask, but my guess is the tilt-a-whirl
