Rebekah's gift

Well, you have voted and Rebekah has spoken. Looks like I will try to lure her with some scratch off lottery tickets. Also, at her request and thanks to Emily Volkman she will also be the recipient of some Bed Head hairspray. All of these gifts will be hers as soon as she makes a trip over and fixes the camera/computer.

Hopefully this will work. Holly Farley suggested making charitable donations in Rebekah's name. If the scratch-offs and hairsrpay do not work, we may have to try that next.

Rebekah's bribe---updated

Rebekah has just informed me that salon quality hair spray WOULD work for her. She likes Bed Head Hard Head in the silver can (Emily are you listening?).

As far as lottery tickets are concerned........she says she is too lazy to scratch.

Sunday it felt like Spring. Today it is cold and ice is dripping from the trees and power lines. I am worried that today could be the day a tree falls on my house. Or worse yet, we are without power for days on end.
Damn you Al Gore and your crazy global warming.

WE ARE THE ONES WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR

For my peeps in Ohio and Texas. Rhode Island and Vermont as well.

Jessica Alba and a bunch of other famous people that you have seen in lots of stuff, but just can't remember their names support Obama. Won't you join them?!

Tennis

Cliff got 4 teeth pulled Thursday afternoon. I have felt pretty sorry for him since he has been in so much pain and basically spent most of the weekend as an invalid. He did make it out of bed to leave for a few hours with Jack on Saturday morning. They stopped at CVS to get me some medicine (I had a bad head cold) and also ended up buying Jack some tennis balls. They then went to Alco to buy tennis racquet's (is it racket or racquet's?). Why you ask, well Jack must have decided at the drugstore that he needed to take up tennis.
Yesterday, Jack and Cliff went to the park to try out their new rackets. Jack seems to have some natural athletic ability (it's gotta be the Diel girl in him) so, for a 3 year old, and by what I (the tennis expert) could see, he was pretty good. Cliff was still in a lot of pain so, they did not get to play very long. Hopefully we will get more nice weather soon so my little tennis pro can practice. That upscale retirement community I plan to live in when I get old is not going to pay for itself!
All in all the tennis racquet's are cheaper than a violin and much easier to clean up after than a lobster.

Disney Magic

I booked our Disney trip this weekend. We go September 13-18th and are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort (pictures below). I planned to include the dining plan when I made my reservations. For a fairly reasonable cost, the Disney dining plan gives you one counter service (fast food type meal, but better) and one table (sit-down) service meal per day. When we went last September, Disney was offering the dining plan for FREE as a promotion to lure people to the World during their slow time. It was an amazing deal and I was hoping to score it again this year for our trip, even if they did not offer the free dining, I was going to go ahead with the dining plan. And since they would not be announcing one way or another on the free dining until April, I was just going to go ahead and make my resort reservations along with dining and hope to get the dining plan changed to free later.

When I called Saturday night to make my reservations the very nice man I talked to took all my info, booked me in the resort I wanted (hopefully with the room location that I want) and with the dining plan. When I asked him about free dining (hoping he would give me some inside info on when or if they would announce the plan being offered for September, he said "I think I have something for that" and magically found me some type of code and gave me the dining plan for free. I asked him numerous times if he was sure, because it really was too good to be true. When I talked to my sister, Michelle (the Disney expert/Nazi) she too was very skeptical. So, yesterday I called Disney twice and received two conformation e-mails from them. All the calls and e-mails confirmed that I did receive the dining plan for free! The last person (cast member) that I spoke to said that he should not have given me free dining but they were not going to take it away from me!

What an awesome way to begin our trip planning! Now, I have to decide where we are going to eat all of that free food!

BRIBE

Day 77 (at least it feels like it) without the ability to post pictures on my blog. I have a new plan to get Rebekah to come over to fix my problem......bribe her with gifts. But what to bribe her with? Vote in my latest poll and help my choose the perfect gift/bribe to give her.

Hopefully this will work and I will be able to post pictures soon!!
