Matt Roloff the dwarf Father on TLC's "Little People, Big World" was arrested on DUI charges yesterday. My friend Kate Passalacqua suggested I post this information as a PSA to let people know that even midgets, like hollywood party girls, are not exempt from getting a DUI.

Jack and the swimming lessons

Last night was Jack's first session of swimming lessons at the Newton Pool. I went into this with very low expectations, most of you know that Jack is a little bit of what one might call a "Momma's Boy", but he sure surprised me. He did such a great job, especially for being the youngest in the class. He really liked it and wants to go back! His teachers are great. Ashley Hunsaker (who Jack said was beautiful), Lea Cummins, and some boy named Nathan that I did not know.

When we got there last night we found out that one of my favorite kids in the world, Dale Bierman, was in Jack's class. Dale decided swimming lessons just were not for him.

Since Cliff was out of town fishing this weekend I got to dress Jack for church yesterday as I saw fit without any grief. Some of you have made fun (and to that I say-HOW RUDE!!!) of Jack in his little jon jon rompers, but I think he looks absolutely adorable!!

In case you live under a rock and have not heard: Lindsay Lohan was arrested on DUI charges this morning. I think that there may have been some cocaine involved as well. I am not sure about this, but just look at her nose. Maybe she tried to snort up all of the evidence. Her mother has said she wants to be the "white Oprah". This my friends, is why Oprah does not have children.

Tammy Faye Bakker died. Televangelists for the most part seem so fake and hokey. After watching Tammy Faye on VH1's the Surreal Life I think she was the real deal. She looked so sad last week on Larry King. I think she was ready to go.

Batter Batter baseball

Cliff came home with a present for Jack last night. ESPN Batter Batter Baseball. Jack saw a commercial for it last spring and has talked about "batter batter baseball" since then. Since we have been potty training Jack, batter batter baseball was something that we tried to bribe him with to go on the potty. Jack had about five potty charts filled with stickers and is doing so well with the potty training it was about time he finally got rewarded. He sure was surprised and very grateful. He asked to play batter batter baseball as soon as he woke up this morning.

This thing really is pretty neat. When you turn it on it plays the ESPN theme song.









Jack can hit it really far. For a two year old he is really impressive!

Austin Bergbower. I cannot say enough about this kid. I go to the games for Gabe, but I stay to watch Austin. I don't watch him play, I just watch him in the dugout. He is so funny. I wish he would get his own reality show. Too bad the season is over because I really will miss Ausitn and his antics!

Dawson's last game

I'll always love Vern

Jerry O'Connell got married to Rebecca Romijn (whatever her name is, you know who I am talking about-she used to be married to Uncle Jesse). Anyway, it got me thinking about one of the all time great movies "Stand By Me". I need to some time to think about what I can write about this movie that would genuinely reflect the love and admiration I have for it. While I work on that lets all rewatch it and think about what a nice looking young man Vern grew up to be.

I watch so you don't have to.

Tonight I watched the premiere episode of "Rock of Love". A new VH1 reality show starring Bret Michaels of hair band Poison fame. Mr. Michaels has finally decided to settle down and the nice folks at VH1 are helping him find someone to do that with.

The ladies competing for Bret's love have a lot in common with him: mainly they both are wearing too much makeup and have horrible hair. Shocker of all shockers there are two girls named Brandy! How will he ever keep them apart?

This show was bad on so many levels. I can't wait for next weeks episode. It's VH1 so, you know they will replay it all week long. Catch it if you can.

The clean up was not so much fun. It really was all over, even in his pull-up! He took his second bath in three hours and I had a great time picking noodles out of the tub drain!

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

Starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds. I love this movie for so many reasons: Dolly singing "I Will Always Love You" (which she wrote and made a crapload of money off of when Whitney made it famous again), Dolly singing "Hard Candy Chritmas", one of the best songs EVER, and the fact that this movie made a whorehouse look like so much darn fun! If you have not seen it, watch it. If it has been a while, watch it again and then give me a shout. If watching it does not make you secretly want to be a madam, there may be something wrong with you.
